Job description

Your role

As Junior Sales Manager DACH, you will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Sales Coordinator, and the other Sales Manager. Together, you will set sales targets and develop strategic sales plans. Using your networking skills, you will build and maintain strong relationships with both potential and existing customers.

While on the road visiting (potential) customers, you will receive support from our Sales Support and Agronomy departments based in the Netherlands. Your knowledge and well-founded advice will build trust and drive sales.

Key responsibilities:

  • Approach and visit (potential) customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, sustainable customer relationships.
  • Provide first-line support, handling questions, feedback, and complaints.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers.
  • Attend conferences and exhibitions to expand your network.
  • Coordinate on-site commissioning of SGL products.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and take proactive measures to enhance it.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.
  • Travel extensively (mainly by car) throughout the DACH region:
    • Multi-day trips
    • Occasionally visit the Dutch HQ
  • Collaborate closely with office staff in the Netherlands.

Your profile

You are passionate, goal-oriented, and a team player. Your positive attitude and approachable personality make it easy to connect with others. You always strive for quality, especially in service, and are willing to go the extra mile for your customers.

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus. We value experience and practical skills just as much.

Preferred skills & personal attributes:

  • Knowledge of grass growth.
  • Experience in the “green” industry or a background related to sports turf or agronomy is welcomed.
  • Established network within the sports turf industry.
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
  • Passion for sports (e.g., football, golf)

Additional requirements:

  • Willingness to travel (80% of the time) and work outside regular office hours.
  • In possession of a valid driver’s license.
