We are looking for an passionate Business Developer Golf who will drive market expansion across premier golf courses, resorts, and private clubs.

The position

As a Business Developer Golf you will drive market expansion across premier golf courses, resorts, and private clubs. In this role, you will build and nurture relationships with superintendents, general managers, and ownership groups, introduce innovative technologies such as GolfRobot, and the TurfBase Golf digital platform, and identify growth opportunities to expand SGL Golf’s footprint. You will also collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and client success, directly contributing to our mission of transforming golf course operations.

SGL Golf is a first-of-its-kind sustainable golf technology platform delivering chemical-free, data-driven turf management solutions. Powered by robotics, advanced sensing, and agronomic intelligence, we help courses enhance playing conditions, reduce chemical inputs, and operate more efficiently – while improving player experience and course sustainability.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective golf course clients, with a focus on high-end private clubs, destination resorts, and innovation-oriented facilities.
  • Build trusted relationships with golf course superintendents, general managers, directors of golf, and ownership stakeholders.
  • Educate prospects on SGL Golf’s chemical-free, sustainable turf management approach and its operational and financial benefits.
  • Support pilot programs, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept deployments in collaboration with agronomy and product teams.
  • Work closely with marketing and leadership to refine go-to-market messaging, pricing strategies, and partnership models.
  • Represent SGL Golf at industry events, trade shows, field days, and innovation partner courses.
  • Track sales activity, pipeline progress, and customer feedback using CRM tools.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, informing product evolution and service offerings.

Your profile

We are looking for a team player who brings real value to our team team. Our work culture is open, informal, and friendly—even when working under tight deadlines. We need someone who is proactive, adaptable, and has a practical and pragmatic mindset, with a passion for technology and/or sports.

Your qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of post-graduate experience in sales or business development.
  • Junior-to-mid-level salesperson ready to grow with an emerging golf technology platform.
  • Curious, coachable, and motivated by long-term relationship building rather than transactional sales.
  • Willingness to travel and spend time on-site at golf courses.
  • Strong relationship-builder with the ability to earn trust in the golf industry.
  • Sales or business development experience, ideally in golf, turf, sports technology, or adjacent industries.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and manage a territory.
  • Working knowledge of agronomy, turf management, or golf course operations (formal education not required).
  • Background in golf as a player, employee, or through family exposure to the industry is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Comfortable selling innovative, first-of-its-kind technology solutions.
