The position

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Quality Control Technician to safeguard the quality of our incoming goods, in-line assembly processes, and finished products. In this role, you will be the key point of contact on the production floor for the mechanical and electrical quality-related questions. You will act as the bridge between the Product Team and the Production Team, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on quality standards. In addition, you will oversee RMA investigations and repairs, including proper documentation and RTV processes. Your work ensures that all components and final products meet internal quality standards, customer expectations, and applicable industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

Incoming Quality Control

  • Inspect incoming mechanical, electrical, and electronic components to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using appropriate tools and test protocols.
  • Document non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, Supply Chain, and the Product Team.

In-line Assembly & Production Quality Control

  • Implement and perform in-line quality inspections during assembly, based on risk assessments.
  • Identify non-conforming parts and support the production team with root-cause analysis.
  • Verify correct assembly processes and translate these into clear work instructions and standards.
  • Register defective parts and define corrective action plans.

Outgoing / Final Quality Control

  • Perform and oversee final inspections and functional testing of finished products such as lighting fixtures and robotic systems.
  • Ensure electrical safety, performance, and calibration requirements are met prior to shipment.
  • Maintain traceability records and approve or reject final products.

Technical & Support Activities

  • Support the Product Team with product validation and prototype testing.
  • Record, coordinate, and oversee RMA investigations, repairs, and RTV documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection and testing equipment.

Your profile

Your qualifications

  • Technical education in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with quality control in a manufacturing environment (lighting, electronics, robotics, or similar preferred).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical tolerances, electrical measurements, and basic circuits.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with quality control tools is a plus.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive mindset with strong critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams.
  • Reliable, structured, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Living in the Randstad. Private transport is necessary as the location cannot be reached by public transport.
