Service information

At SGL, we design our products to deliver reliable performance over many years. The expected lifespan below is based on proper maintenance and calculated from the date of manufacture.

Stefan Staijen, SGL Service Engineer, works on the LED50.

Product lifecycle overview

Reaching the indicated lifespan does not mean your product will cease to function. Beyond this point, the components of the relevant product will no longer be covered under the service contract, and SGL cannot guarantee the availability of spare parts. Any replacement parts required after this period will be invoiced separately. Yearly maintenance and repairs will remain fully covered under the service contract.

Parts Coverage

All parts are covered, including HPS relamping and LED filters. Coverage becomes void in the event of use that is not in accordance with the instructions provided in the product Owner’s Manual.
Replacement parts will be shipped to the principal, with only the transportation costs charged to the principal. The principal is responsible for the installation of the replacement parts. This service level does not include an on-site visit from an SGL engineer.

Essential

All parts are covered, including HPS relamping, IR coverage, and LED filters. Coverage becomes void in the event of use that is not in accordance with the instructions provided in the product Owner’s Manual.
An SGL engineer will visit the site once per year to perform preventive maintenance and carry out any required repairs. If repairs are required outside the scheduled annual maintenance visit, the principal is responsible for carrying out the repairs themselves or waiting until the next annual service visit.

Premium (Most Selected)

All parts are covered, including HPS relamping, IR coverage, and LED filters. Coverage becomes void in the event of use that is not in accordance with the instructions provided in the product Owner’s Manual.
In addition to the annual preventive maintenance visit, SGL engineers will provide on-site support in the event of failures or malfunctions to restore the products to full operational status as quickly as possible.

Custom

The Custom service level is an extension of the Premium service level and does not replace it. The scope of this service level can be tailored to the principal’s specific requirements in consultation with the Area Manager and the Service Department.
